These Terms define the full set of rights and obligations between you and ArmMini regarding the rental of dedicated Mac mini physical nodes. By placing an order and completing payment, you are deemed to have read and agreed to the entire document. We've written this plainly — please read it through, especially Chapter 3 on billing/refunds and Chapter 5 on the SLA.
Version v2.3Updated Effective
01Service Definition
1.1 Scope of Service
ArmMini (the "Platform") provides you (the "User") with the rental of complete Apple Mac mini physical nodes. Every machine is a dedicated physical unit — not a virtual machine, not time-shared: one order corresponds to one complete piece of hardware, with the CPU, GPU, Neural Engine, unified memory, and SSD never shared with any other user.
1.2 What's Included
Exclusive use of the whole machine, at the tier selected at checkout (M4 or M4 Pro chip, 16GB to 64GB unified memory, 256GB to 2TB SSD, as shown on the order confirmation page);
Full access to the macOS GUI and command line, with complete administrator rights;
Dual access via VNC (default port 5900) and SSH (default port 22), with credentials delivered by encrypted email;
One dedicated IPv4 address and basic network access, unmetered and managed under a fair-use policy;
One free macOS reinstall per billing cycle (see Chapter 6);
Self-service controls in the portal: restart, reinstall, reset VNC password, and rotate the SSH public key.
1.3 Node Locations
Physical nodes are located in data centers in Singapore, Tokyo, Seoul, Hong Kong, and Silicon Valley. Each node runs continuously, 365 days a year — the Platform maintains no scheduled downtime windows. Unplanned outages are handled under the SLA in Chapter 5.
1.4 What's Not Included
For clarity, the following are explicitly outside the scope of the service: development or debugging of software running on the machine, backup and recovery of user data (see Chapter 6), support for installing operating systems other than macOS, and legal advice on the compliance of a user's business.
02Accounts & Eligibility
2.1 Registration Requirements
Registration requires a real, working email address. Credential delivery, renewal reminders, SLA notices, and security alerts are all sent to that address, and the User bears any loss resulting from an inaccessible mailbox. A single individual or legal entity may register multiple accounts, but must not use multiple accounts to circumvent the refund rules in Chapter 3 or the enforcement measures in Chapter 4.
2.2 Age and Legal Capacity
Users must be at least 18 years old, or have reached the age of full legal capacity under the laws of their jurisdiction. Where an account is registered on behalf of an organization, the operator must be duly authorized by that organization.
2.3 Account Security Responsibilities
Account passwords, SSH private keys, and VNC passwords are the User's own responsibility to safeguard; any machine misuse resulting from leaked credentials is attributable to the User's account;
If you notice anything unusual on your account (a login you didn't make, processes on the machine you didn't start), report it immediately via a support ticket in the portal or by emailing support@armmini.com; the Platform can help freeze access and reset credentials;
Platform staff will never ask you for your account password or SSH private key under any circumstances.
03Billing & Refunds
3.1 Currency and Payment Methods
All prices are quoted and settled in US dollars (USD). Supported payment methods are USDT-TRC20, and Visa / Mastercard / Amex processed via Stripe; the gateways actually available are shown on the checkout page.
3.2 Billing Cycle Terms
Four cycle lengths are offered: daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly. Longer cycles carry a lower unit price, calculated roughly as: weekly price ≈ daily price × 2.7, monthly price = daily price × 5, quarterly price ≈ monthly price × 2.72. Example (Mini Basic tier): daily price $21.5, monthly price $107.7; full pricing for each tier is shown on the plans page and at checkout. Billing starts from the timestamp the credentials email is sent, tracked to the minute and rounded up to the nearest full day.
3.3 Order Confirmation and Automatic Cancellation
If payment is not completed within 30 minutes of placing an order, the order is automatically canceled — this is not treated as a breach. Once payment is confirmed, credentials are typically delivered within 10 minutes, and within 24 hours at peak, with the delivery time confirmed by email.
3.4 7-Day Refund Window
Within 7 calendar days of credential delivery, a User may request a refund for unused days, with used days deducted at the rate applicable to the purchased cycle;
Orders older than 7 days are not eligible for a refund but may continue to be used through the end of the cycle;
Accounts enforced against for violations under Chapter 4 are not eligible for a refund under this clause;
Refunds are returned via the original payment method; USDT-TRC20 refunds are initiated within 3 business days, while card refund timing depends on the issuing bank;
Compensation for missed SLA targets is handled under Chapter 5 and is independent of the refund described here.
3.5 Renewal and Late Payment
72 hours before a cycle ends, a renewal reminder is sent to the registered email;
If not renewed by the end of the cycle, machine access is disabled immediately, and data is retained for 48 hours;
If renewal is completed within 48 hours, service is restored, data is unaffected, and the cycle continues counting from the original end date;
If more than 48 hours pass without renewal, the machine is reclaimed, fully wiped, and returned to service; data cannot be recovered.
3.6 Price Changes
The Platform may adjust its published prices; such changes do not affect any cycle already paid for. Renewals are billed at the price published at the time of renewal.
04Acceptable Use
4.1 Prohibited Activities
Users must not use a rented machine to:
Send spam or bulk marketing email, or run an open mail relay;
Carry out port scanning, DDoS attacks, brute-force attacks, exploit attempts, or any other network attack against a third party, or provide a launch point for such attacks;
Distribute content that infringes others' copyright or trademarks, including storing or seeding cracked software or pirated media;
Host phishing pages, malware, or botnet command-and-control infrastructure;
Engage in any content or activity that is unlawful under the jurisdiction where the node is located or the User's own jurisdiction;
Resell access to the whole machine as a business, unless a separate written agreement with the Platform is in place;
Circumvent fair-use limits on network traffic, such as continuously saturating outbound bandwidth with traffic unrelated to development, builds, or inference workloads.
4.2 Enforcement Process
First minor violation: a warning email requiring the activity to stop within 24 hours;
No correction, or a repeat violation: access to the machine is suspended, data is retained, and the User may appeal via a support ticket;
Serious violations (attacks, phishing, unlawful content): access is suspended immediately without prior warning, and the service may be terminated depending on the circumstances;
Judicial or law enforcement requests: the Platform cooperates with lawful requests from authorities with proper jurisdiction, and notifies the affected User to the extent permitted by law.
Fees for the remaining term of an order terminated for a violation are non-refundable; a User is liable for any loss caused to the Platform or third parties by their violation.
05SLA & Compensation
5.1 Uptime Commitment
The Platform commits to a monthly uptime of at least 99.5% per machine. "Downtime" means a state where both VNC and SSH are unreachable due to a cause on the Platform's side (hardware failure, data center power loss, upstream network failure), measured from the time the User submits a support ticket or the Platform's own monitoring confirms the issue, until service is restored.
5.2 Compensation Schedule
If monthly uptime falls short, compensation is credited as extended service time, automatically added to the end of the current cycle, per the table below:
Monthly Uptime
Corresponding Downtime (per 30-day month)
Compensation
≥ 99.5%
≤ 3.6 hours
SLA met, no compensation
99.0% – 99.49%
3.6 – 7.2 hours
+1 day
97.0% – 98.99%
7.2 – 21.6 hours
+3 days
90.0% – 96.99%
21.6 – 72 hours
+7 days
< 90.0%
> 72 hours
+15 days, plus the option to cancel with a refund for unused days
5.3 Claims and Exclusions
Compensation must be claimed via a support ticket within 72 hours of service being restored, stating the machine ID and the outage window;
Compensation is issued as extended service time only, never as a cash refund, capped at 15 days per calendar month;
Only two categories are excluded: force majeure (see Chapter 8), and unreachability caused by the User's own actions (incorrect firewall rules, deletion of system components, self-inflicted lockouts from modifying SSH/VNC configuration, etc.). Issues caused by the User's own actions can be resolved via a self-service reinstall in the portal or a support ticket, but do not count toward downtime.
06Data & Backups
6.1 Data Ownership
All data on the machine (code, certificates, build artifacts, model files, etc.) belongs to the User. The Platform does not view, scan, or analyze data on the machine; collection of node operating metrics (online status, power state, network throughput) never involves the contents of files on the machine.
6.2 Backup Responsibility
The Platform does not perform any form of backup of data on the machine. Backup responsibility rests entirely with the User: we recommend using rsync or an object storage client to periodically sync critical data (such as signing certificates, provisioning profiles, and CI caches) off the machine. In the event of data loss caused by a hardware failure, the Platform's only obligation is the time-extension compensation described in Chapter 5 — it does not compensate for the value of lost data.
6.3 Boundaries on Reinstalls and Wipes
Each billing cycle includes one free macOS reinstall, which fully wipes the drive; the portal requires a second confirmation before proceeding;
A reinstall is only ever initiated by the User themselves via the portal, or carried out by the Platform after explicit written authorization from the User via a support ticket; the Platform never wipes an active machine without authorization;
Wipes performed at end-of-cycle reclamation, account closure, or under the termination scenarios in Chapter 7 follow the timelines set out in the relevant clause;
Decommissioned drives are physically destroyed and never re-enter secondary circulation.
07Suspension & Termination
7.1 Grounds for the Platform to Suspend or Terminate
A User violates the Acceptable Use Policy in Chapter 4, handled per the process in 4.2;
A chargeback or payment fraud occurs, in which case the related order is suspended immediately pending resolution of the dispute;
A User fails to renew on time, handled per 3.5;
A lawful order from an authority with proper jurisdiction requires it.
7.2 Grounds for a User to Terminate
Within the 7-day refund window, per 3.4, by requesting a refund;
If monthly uptime falls below 90%, per 5.2, by canceling with a refund for unused days;
At any time, by giving up the remaining cycle and closing the account — remaining fees are non-refundable, though the User's data rights under the Privacy Policy remain unaffected.
7.3 Data Handling Timelines After Termination
Termination Scenario
Data Retention Period
What Happens Next
Cycle ends without renewal
48 hours
Full wipe; machine returned to service
User closes account voluntarily
7 calendar days
Full wipe, with a wipe certificate issued
Termination for a violation
7 calendar days (except where legally required)
Full wipe; preserved as required for legal proceedings, if applicable
SLA-based cancellation
7 calendar days
Assisted data export, then full wipe
During the retention period, a User may request via a support ticket to have the machine powered on to export data; once the retention period expires, data cannot be recovered.
08Disclaimers, Force Majeure & Governing Law
8.1 Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Platform's total liability for any order is capped at the amount actually paid for that order's most recent billing cycle; the Platform is not liable for indirect losses such as lost profits, business interruption, or the value of lost data. The time-extension compensation described in Chapter 5 is the sole remedy for service interruptions.
8.2 Force Majeure
Neither party is liable for a service interruption caused by circumstances that are unforeseeable, unavoidable, and insurmountable — such as earthquakes, floods, fires, war, large-scale power outages, regional failures of upstream backbone networks, or government action. If a force majeure event continues for more than 15 calendar days, either party may terminate the affected order, and the Platform will refund fees for unused days.
8.3 Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
The formation, validity, interpretation, and performance of these Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Platform's operating entity is established. Disputes arising from these Terms shall first be addressed through a support ticket or by emailing support@armmini.com, allowing a negotiation period of 30 calendar days; if no resolution is reached, either party may bring suit before a court of competent jurisdiction in that jurisdiction.
8.4 Changes to These Terms
When the Platform revises these Terms, it will give 14 calendar days' notice via the registered email address and a notice on this page; continued use of the service after a revision takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new version. Prior versions are available on request via a support ticket. In the event of any inconsistency between language versions of these Terms, the Chinese-language version shall prevail.
Have a question about these Terms? Common billing and refund questions are explained more casually in our FAQ; data rights and privacy are covered in our Privacy Policy; for anything specific to your case, email support@armmini.com or open a ticket in the portal — first response within 2 hours.
